A software company that thinks operators should own their software.
Ophriel Systems was founded in Chennai by Jonathan Jeshua S to build one product well: TourDesk, a booking and operations platform for Indian tour companies.
The idea came from watching how the current generation of travel SaaS treats operators. The customer list — the most valuable thing a tour company owns — sits on a vendor’s multi-tenant servers. The fees never stop. And the day an operator wants to leave, the data comes back on the vendor’s terms, if at all.
TourDesk inverts that arrangement. The software is licensed once, deployed on the operator’s own cloud account, and engineered to standards the industry mostly skips — starting with seat locking done at the database level, where an overbooking is impossible rather than merely unlikely.
TourDesk’s first production deployment runs the daily operations of a Chennai-based holidays and resorts company.
